Emergencies
During your ophthalmologist’s regular office hours, please always consult your ophthalmologist first; they will arrange for further steps to be taken if necessary.
Outside of regular office hours, the outpatient emergency service for private ophthalmologists is provided at the on-call clinics of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians.

and are open during the following hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Wednesday, Friday: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Saturday, Sunday, and holidays: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve: 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Otherwise, the emergency ophthalmology service is provided by the physicians of the University Eye Clinic on weekdays until 7:00 PM in the Eye Outpatient Clinic (Building 60b, Level 1). On weekdays after 7:00 PM, as well as on weekends and holidays, the on-call ophthalmologist is available at the inpatient ward of the University Eye Clinic.
