University Outpatient Ward
Our university outpatient clinic is located in building 60b, level 1.
Upon referral from a specialist in ophthalmology, we treat about 6000 patients with various ophthalmological diseases every year. In addition to general ophthalmological consultation hours, special consultation hours are available for patients suffering from glaucoma or age-related macular degeneration (AMD). In addition, we provide our youngest patients in a special children's consultation hour and people with squint problems in the vision school.
We can offer a wide range of advanced examination methods for diagnosis, such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), Heidelberg Retina Tomography (HRT) with Cornea Module, Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy (SLO) with Indocyanine Green Angiography (ICG angiography), endothelial cell microscopy, ultrasound examinations of all eye segments including UBM and others.
In our electrophysiology department, individual elements of the visual process are tested for their functionality.
Two opticians competently and independently provide our patients with contact lenses or magnifying vision aids.
